A description of the National Full-Scale Aerodynamics Complex (NFAC) 40- by 80-/80- by 120-Foot Wind Tunnels at NASA Ames Research Center is provided.
*Rotor Test Apparatus

A description of the Rotor Test Apparatus (RTA), which is a special-purpose drive and support system for operating helicopter rotors in the 40-by 80- and 80- by 120-Foot Wind Tunnels at NASA Ames Research Center is provided.
*Large Rotor Test Apparatus

A description of the Large Rotor Test Apparatus (LRTA), which allows moderate-to-large helicopter rotor system testing in the National Full-Scale Aerodynamics Complex (NFAC) is provided.
* Tilt Rotor Aeroacoustic Model

A description of the Tilt Rotor Aeroacoustic Model (TRAM) for ~9.5 foot diameter, small-scale proprotors for complete tiltrotor operating envelope investigations for isolated rotor and full-span (with dual-rotors and a complete airframe representation) configurations is provided.
